I Really Enjoy Getting to Set-up a Home Theater System

Today I was able to bring my Onkyo HT s5300 home theater system over to my friend’s apartment and get everything hooked up. It always takes a while to reconnect all of the speaker wire and get everything hooked up correctly to the amplifier. I actually have fun doing it though. I think the enjoyment I experience is similar to people who like to cook. They enjoy the process of chopping up food and cooking all the ingredients because they are excited about the end result they will get to experience. Likewise, I think my enjoyment from setting up a home theater system comes from the anticipation of getting to test everything out and see how good it actually sounds when I am done. It is also fun to play around with different configurations. For example, I might first start with the subwoofer at the front of the room and then see how it sounds in a back corner of the room.
